不理某人 give sb a tumble
give sb a tumble和某人打招呼。tumble原指’摔倒’或’下跌’, 後來在口語中指
’理睬某人’或’和某人打招呼’. 而not give sb a tumble 則是指’不理睬某人’
或’根本就不把某人當回事’. 比如: I wanted to talk with her, but she
didn’t give me a tumble.
例句
Marvin三番五次的說他喜歡Lizzie，可是Lizzie對他不理不睬.
